John Stolfo painted two murals for us recently and I'd like to recommend him highly to anyone interested in improving their physical surroundings.

John painted a full size (approx. 15 feet x 12 feet) wall in my office, and a smaller vestibule wall. Both are striking in their originality, pleasing to look at, and the two are very different from one another.

John's work, like the work of any artist, is difficult to describe. First off, it is beautiful, with tremendous subtlety and a gentle grace in colors and shapes. Secondly, it is appropriate for the space in which he works, and this is perhaps the greater challenge. He can make his work imposing, or merely reflective of the environment.

Finally, John was a pleasure to work with. He was responsive to our requests and concerns, neat and timely with his work, and altogether respectful of the work environment in which he painted.
